Since my very first day I stepped foot into Rotorua Boys’ High School. I aspired to be just like my cousin Ngarohi McGarvey-Black who was once in the shoes that I am in now.

Now that I have been put inside of these shoes that Ngārohi once wore I feel the Mana that he has left and it has given me the inspiration and courage to lead Nelson. Watching Nelson House throughout the year made me so proud and the results were well worth the effort with us winning Athletics, Junior Football, Junior Basketball but the highlight was winning the Choral Competition. While it wasn’t enough to take the prestigious David McGregor award for top house I am still very proud of all of our boys and the leaders within.

My leadership within the school grew bigger and I hope that my leadership helped positively around the school and I leave my legacy here with all the boys to come.

I’d just like to thank Mr Hay for all the help and support he gave to me and the leadership group. I’d like to thank him for giving his all to Nelson House and I wish Nelson House the best of luck for next year.
